Patrick Clair

Patrick Clair is a director who works at the intersection of storytelling and design.

He has been nominated 11 times for Outstanding Main Titles Emmy, winning twice, creating iconic title sequences for series including True Detective, Westworld, The Crown and many more.

Patrick’s work is about creating poetic images rich with symbolism that is meaningful, arresting and shareable. He’s obsessed with icons and their power to tell stories and inspire emotion. He’s fascinated by the human form and the camera’s ability to capture the nuance of a character, combining innovative live-action techniques with creative post-production to forge imagery that is unique and compelling.

His passion for uncompromising design and execution is evident in his collaborations with Louis Vuitton, Audi, Estee Lauder, Apple, HBO, Netflix and many of the world’s top brands. His work is showcased by the Museum of Modern Art, New York and the Cooper Hewitt Design Museum, as well as numerous award wins from Emmy’s, Cubes, Pencils and Lions.

StyleWar

StyleWar is a Swedish directing collective founded by Oskar Holmedal and Martin Sjöström. Drawn to technically challenging spots, they are known for their razor-sharp use of hyper-real detail and explosive colour, creating their signature style. The work is almost unsettling in its ability to integrate subtle CG with naturalistic live action. This can be seen in their innovative spots for brands like Google, Coca-Cola, Lexus, HP, Apple, Nike, Nissan, Visa, Bacardi, and Toyota, among others.

StyleWar are creative problem solvers in the truest sense. They’re detail-obsessed creators of their own realities on behalf of agencies and brands always finding bespoke approaches to the creative, whether it be puppetry, vfx, or elaborate set builds. They’re mixed media masters and the original awe-inspiring directing collective, setting the gold standard for technical feats of commercial filmmaking, always inserting their Swedish mischievous spirit.

Le Cube

Le Cube are masters of classical techniques and lovers of new technology. Their credo is that excellence is a constant pursuit and that to achieve it they need to refine the fundamentals of their craft every single day.

Their work in film and illustration include character-driven animation in 2D and 3D, motion graphics, stop motion, live action and mixed media.

Matt Murphy

Matt’s worked in film since his teens, and by age 21 was Art Directing and Designing film and television productions in NZ. 
He then turned to directing TV commercials and was nominated one of the top 10 new TVC directors in the world at the Cannes New Directors Showcase soon after.

Matt honed his skillset on over 150 local and global campaigns for high profile clients such as Visa, Lexus and Pernod Ricard; in locations including India, Thailand, France, Italy, Buenos Aires, and the USA, and extensively in New Zealand and Australia. In a return to his long-form roots, Matt wrote and directed his debut feature ‘PORK PIE’, which became New Zealand’s highest grossing local film in 2017.

Terry Hall

Terry Hall grew up in West Yorkshire, England. He studied Graphic Design at Falmouth College of Arts. After graduating in 2003, he won the BBC New Talent Music Video Director competition. He’s since tackled branded films and has directed spots for VW, Virgin Media, Sony Playstation, Karcher and Longines. His work has won various awards at the Webbys, the One Show and a Bronze Cannes Lion and featured in numerous publications both in print and online. Terry has surfed, fished, and made some fantastic road trips. He’s a most delightful and talented guy.

Sarah Chatfield

Hailed as a ‘new heroine of the directing world’ by iD magazine, director Sarah Chatfield works across commercials, fashion films, and music videos.

Her films have been described as ‘moving seamlessly between polished glamour and raw cinematic naturalism’, and have led to multiple award nominations, including two wins at the UK MVA’s for Best New Director and Best Pop Video.

Her fashion film work has been screened in museums and galleries worldwide, as well as being featured in publications such as Vogue, iD, Dazed & Confused, Creative Review, Campaign, Creativity, 10 Magazine, Boards, Shots and Showstudio.

Thibault Debaveye

Thibault is a versatile filmmaker and visual storyteller. 

His work is a rare fusion between great narrative and crafted technology, which he uses as a tool for storytelling and creative problem solving. He enjoys capturing slice of life moments in a unique, observational way, blending his passion of European-inspired cinema with the visual twists that his creative roots as an digital artist provides. 

A graduate of France’s Supinfocom, his work was soon in competition at Imagina. VFX pioneers BUF quickly snatched him up, where he honed his craft, becoming a globally renowned Flame Artist. With a VFX resume peopled with A-list directors such as Wong Kar Wai, Rupert Sanders, Olivier Gondry and Phil Joanou, Thibault learnt from the best in the industry and soon began his directing career, during his tenure at Psyop for nearly a decade. 

Thibault has worked with such brands as Toyota, Carls JR, Verizon, Spectrum, Adidas, Whirlpool, WorkSafe Victoria and Allianz Insurance.

Rob Chiu

Rob Chiu is a Chinese/British filmmaker and visual artist. His work is characterised by a strong photographic quality combined with evocative storytelling. A close attention to detail, in particular, composition, typography and editing, is guided by his strong graphic design roots.  Impeccably crafted, his films are confident and assured, often displaying a keen ear for innovative sound design on top of pure, atmospheric drama. Collaborating with top global brands, including Lexus, Audi, Porsche, Nikon, Peugeot, BMW and Nike, Chiu’s work frequently explores themes of identity, memory, and human emotion. 

Golden Wolf

Golden Wolf is an Emmy-nominated animation studio founded in 2013 with offices in London and New York. Their work lives in the space between irreverent humour, intensely dynamic action and psychedelia. Their unique and youthful perspective has been applied to global commercial campaigns, opening titles, music videos, AR filters, VR experiences and social media campaigns. Since their inception, they have quickly established a global reputation, catching the attention of major brands and networks including Nike, Facebook, Gatorade, Disney and Acura.

Pete Moore

Pete’s innovative and versatile approach to filmmaking has been applied to all major categories with some of the world’s leading brands, including Ford, Paspaley, Sony and a global launch campaign for Coca-Cola that has debuted in over 20 countries.

He considers himself fortunate to have worked with talents, including Academy Award-winning actor Cate Blanchett and Grammy-nominated musicians Tame Impala. Pete’s work has been internationally recognised at major festivals, including Berlin Commercial, AWARD, Spikes and Berlin Fashion Film Festival. Adforum voted his Paspaley film into their Top Five Ads in the World.

With a background in writing, photography and studies in screenwriting and directing actors at AFTRS and NIDA, Pete tells strong visual stories through the use of stylised cinematography and natural performances. A fan of contemporary approaches to filmmaking, music and the arts, Pete loves collaborating and the energy of being on set.

Simon Robson

Simon Robson is an award-winning multi-disciplinary director known for his distinctive mixed-media work. With an uncanny knack for combining live-action, animation and CG, Simon’s career has led him on many film-making adventures over the last two decades, directing commercials, film, interaction-design and projections, short and long-form films and political-arts projects.

His client list spans Australia, the UK, the USA and Japan, including brands such as Adidas, Edith Cowan University, ReMarkable electronics, Nike, Kia Motors, Specsavers, Pepsi, Pernod Ricard and NBC Universal, in which he has received several accolades from D&AD to a BAFTA.

Forever a curious filmmaker seeking to extend his craft, nothing makes Simon happier than simply falling in love with a new idea and bringing it to life.

Phillip Sage

Known for his mix of captivating imagery and honest natural performance, Phillip brings a sense of authenticity to the work that he creates. Equally at home drawing out the best from real people or actors, his collaborative style connects ideas to people through emotion.

With a background in creative and design, he approaches every project focused on getting to the heart of things –  delving to find the human truths that genuinely align message with audience.

Having worked with Cricket Australia, Asics, Bose, Bankwest, Vodafone, Panadol, MTV and Destination NSW, Phillip has established a visual style and approach that is uniquely his own.

Clare Plueckhahn

Clare is a seasoned TVC director and stills photographer renowned for her expertise in scripted drama, documentary and commercial filmmaking. Her foray into filmmaking stemmed from her passion for surfing, leading her to produce "FIRST LOVE" and subsequently serve as Director of Photography on "UNCHARTED WATERS." Widely recognized within the Australian commercial sphere, Clare has established herself as a household name, catering to a diverse clientele that includes esteemed brands such as Target, Haleon,  Kotex, McDonalds, Aesop, TAC, and Swisse.
